Bernie Sanders Visiting Portland Today

  Friday March 25, 2016 - 6:41 AM
PORTLAND, Oregon - The Burn will arrive at the Moda Center this morning.

Doors will be open at 9:45 AM and people will be seated on a first come, first serve basis.

People are being urged not to bring bags and to limit what they do bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones.

The rally begins at 12:45.

Sanders held a rally last weekend in Vancouver.

Today's rally will be the day before the Democratic Party caucus in Washington State.

Today's event is important because on Tuesday, Sanders won two of the three Democratic primaries in the West and won by wide margins; 80% for Sanders and 20% for Hillary Clinton. Clinton won Arizona under a cloud of voting irregularities in which as many as 100,000 were unable to vote.

For Sanders to continue to cut into Clinton's delegate lead, he needs to continue to show that his campaign has energy, and can continue to raise funds and win primaries.

Parking will be a huge problem so come early so you will have plenty of time.

Don't say we didn't warn you.
