On Sunday March 20, 2016, at 3:23 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress at Hawker's Locker, located at 933 Northeast 82nd Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and learned from a witness that the suspect entered the business and exited with a large item and climbed a fence on the North side of the property.

Officers saturated the area and located a vehicle parked in the area, occupied by two people. Officers contacted the two people in the car, a green 1997 Volkswagen Jetta, and noticed two assault-style rifles in between the front seats.

The passenger, 50-year-old Alicia Renee Hawkins, was taken into custody along with the driver, 44-year-old Angela Megrant.

Through the investigation, officers learned that the Hawkins was the suspect who broke into the business by breaking a front window. Officers recovered the two stolen rifles and two stolen knives from the vehicle.

Both Hawkins and Megrant were booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the Second Degree and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Community members are encouraged to visit the City of Portland's Office of Neighborhood Involvement Crime Prevention page at for crime prevention tips and resources.
