VANCOUVER, Washington - At approximately 8:30 this morning, Vancouver Firefighters responded to a 3 vehicle accident with one of the vehicles ending up on its top. 2 fire engines, a Battalion Chief, 2 AMR ambulances and Vancouver Police responded to the round about at NE 49th st and NE 138th ave. There was one adult patient in each vehicle, 2 of the 3 needed to be extricated by fire personnel. One of the patients was uninjured and remained on scene.
The other two patients were transported to local area hospitals with minor, non life-threatening injuries. The intersection was closed while the first responders worked. The intersection and the round about were re-opened at approximately 0940. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Vancouver Police Department.
