The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in an armed robbery.
On February 9, 2016, at 1:13 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to Paddy's Old Irish Cafe, located at 1736 Northeast 122nd Avenue, on the report of an armed robbery.
Officers arrived in the area and contacted the employee who told police that the suspect entered the business, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect ran out of the bar and was last seen running westbound through the parking lot.
Surveillance images of the suspect are being released to aid in this investigation.
The suspect is described as an African American male in his 30s, 6' tall, 200 pounds, wearing dark clothing. The suspect's sweatshirt had "ALOHA" on the front and he was armed with a handgun.
Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.
Information about unsolved homicides can lead to a reward of up to $2,500 cash. All other unsolved felony crimes are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
Information learned from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or YouTube should be shared as these tips may lead to the identification of a suspect or suspects. Links can be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
