Three Dozen Shots Fired In in Montavilla Neighborhood

PORTLAND, Oregon - On Saturday February 13, at 9:51 p.m., reports of multiple reports of gunfire were sent to police from 92nd Avenue and East Burnside Street.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of gunfire to indicate that nearly three dozen rounds were fired in the street. At least two neighboring apartments were hit by bullets but there are no reported injuries.

Witnesses told police that they heard gunfire and vehicles speeding out of the area.

Burnside Street is closed from 91st to 93rd Avenues as officers investigate the shooting.

Based on initial information, the Gang Enforcement Team (GET) has responded to assist with the investigation.

The Tactical Operations Division's Gang Enforcement Team (GET) and Gun Task Force (GTF) are continuing to investigate several incidents of gun violence citywide.
