Fatality Collision Investigation In Camas

CAMAS - At about 9:40pm on Sunday, Camas Police and Fire units were dispatched to a single motorcycle collision in the 4700 block of NW Lake Road. The motorcycle involved was traveling westbound on NW Lake Road when it veered to the left for unknown reasons and impacted a cement curb. The collision caused the helmeted rider to be thrown from the motorcycle. There were no additional passengers and no other cars involved.

The motorcyclist, a 65 year-old Vancouver resident, was pronounced dead at the scene by Camas Paramedics. The name if the decedent is not being released at this time pending notification of family.

The Clark County Sheriff Department's Traffic Homicide Unit is assisting Camas PD with the accident investigation.
