ALOHA, Oregon - This afternoon, a vehicle collided into a building causing significant damage.
At 10:14 a.m., Washington County Sheriff's Deputies were called to 17970 SW Blanton Street in the community of Aloha concerning a vehicle that crashed into an apartment building.
Sheriff's Deputies arrived and found Baylee Torgerson, 16, from Aloha, had been driving a 2004 Honda Pilot with her father as a passenger. It was reported that Ms. Torgerson was practicing parking in the apartment complex parking lot. It appears she accelerated and rapidly drove from the parking lot, through a fence, and into the side of the building. It is not known why she accelerated instead of braked.
The apartment was not occupied at the time of the crash. There were no injuries in the incident. The building received significant damage but appears to be habitable.
