Columbia County Sheriff's Deputies today arrested a 20-year-old Clatskanie man on multiple sexual abuse and other charges stemming from a lengthy, two-year investigation involving multiple agencies.
A Columbia County grand jury indicted Jerrus Storm Lumijarvi yesterday, and he agreed to turn himself in to deputies this afternoon. He was lodged on the following charges:
4 cts of Burglary I
In December, 2013 Lumijarvi was contacted by CCSO Investigators and Homeland Security ICE Agents during a sting operation. Lumijarvi had been communicating with undercover investigators leading up to that date via text messages attempting to obtain sexual favors in return for providing sexually explicit photographs of under age females. Upon contact by investigators and agents Lumijarvi was found in possession of computers, and computer storage devices. The District Attorney's Office declined prosecution, pending further investigation.
Last fall, a CCSO deputy took a report from a juvenile female who reported that Lumijarvi had conducted lewd acts in front of a 13 year old boy. Further, that Lumijarvi had committed a number of criminal acts of sexually explicit conduct with a juvenile female between March 2013 and June 2013
During the course of the investigation multiple interviews of witnesses were conducted in addition to the service of a search warrant on Lumijarvi's Clatskanie residence. Multiple items of evidentiary value were seized including computers and cell phones. These items were sent to the FBI for analysis. Lumijarvi was subsequently interviewed regarding the allegations. He was released pending review from the grand jury, which issued a true bill of indictment yesterday.
Bail is currently set at. $390,000, pending additional counts expected to be charged as the investigation continues.
