Bruce Jenner Shaken Says He Was Evading Paparazzi Before Fatal Crash

by Holly Hofstead - The Oregon Herald Sunday February 8, 2015    10:48 AM

MALIBU, California - After one person died in a horrible car crash, Bruce Jenner volunteered to go to the hospital to have his blood drawn for blood alcohol testing. He was taken in a Sheriff's cruiser. The woman who was killed in the white car was coming to a stop at a red light when Bruce hit her. Law enforcement reports indicate Jenner was not speeding.

There may have been a 4th car involved in the accident. The woman in the white car hit a Prius in front of her before moving into oncoming traffic.

Jenner did not appear to be attempting to evade the paparazzi before he was involved in a chain-reaction crash in Malibu, California, that killed one person, according to police.

Jenner was uninjured in the crash on Saturday afternoon, his rep told ABC News.

According to authorities, Jenner told police that paparazzi were following him right before the crash.

The driver of the Lexus was killed, while five people inside the Humvee suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Jenner cooperated with investigators, police said. He passed a field sobriety test and then voluntarily submitted a blood sample to determine whether he was intoxicated.

"He did not appear intoxicated or under the influence of anything at the time," said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Philip Brooks.
